Mathematics Teacher

Full-time or Part-time commencing Term 1, 2026

We are seeking an accomplished Mathematics Teacher to join our team in a permanent full-time or part-time capacity commencing Term 1, 2026.

The successful applicant will be an engaging teacher who demonstrates creativity and rigour in the delivery of curriculum and who can foster warm, supportive relationships with students. As Mathematics Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, fostering a love for mathematics and helping students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge, competence and confidence in Mathematics
  • Programming, lesson planning, assessment and reporting
  • Create engaging and effective instructional materials and resources
  • Modifying teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Provide effective feedback to students in order to improve their understanding and learning
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to a well-rounded, rich, and distinctive curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, upholding our Steiner philosophy

Requirements:

  • Ability to teach Mathematics to Years 7-10 (Essential)
  • Ability to teach HSC and/or IB Diploma Mathematics (Desirable)
  • Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW (Essential)
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check (Essential)
  • NESA-recognised tertiary educational qualifications (Essential)
  • Have a passion for teaching the relevant subject area (Essential)
  • Have NESA-recognised tertiary educational qualifications (Essential)
  • Be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development (Essential)

Education Support Assistant – Stage 6, Part-Time, Commencing Term 1, 2026

The School fosters an atmosphere where students develop into intellectually curious individuals and compassionate, socially responsible global citizens. 

We are seeking an accomplished Stage 6 Education Support Assistant to join our team in a part-time capacity commencing Term 1, 2026. This successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a team of collegiate educators and wonderful High School students where the focus is on the whole person. Join us in embracing a truly enriching educational experience that empowers young minds to flourish academically, artistically, and ethically. 

Key Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Have a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support (CHC30213) or equivalent 
  • Have a sound understanding of the NSW Australian curriculum for Stages 4-6 with Stage 6 experience.
  • Be a collaborative team member who participates in meetings and events, and uses communication channels effectively to support students and staff
  • Demonstrate a high level of competence in making adjustments for students who need support
  • Show confidence in monitoring the progress of the students, and providing teachers with regular updates
  • Be able to lead small-group instruction and discussions if required
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of curriculum differentiation 
  • Have excellent standards in literacy and numeracy
  • Have an excellent command of spoken English
  • Have experience in professional settings that require a positive rapport with teenagers and show confidence in interacting comfortably with teenagers
  • Understand the principles and practices of Steiner education, or show a willingness to learn
  • Take initiative and be flexible, but also take direction from teachers as required
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality

Casual Teaching at Central Coast Steiner School

Central Coast Steiner School is seeking vibrant and imaginative educators to join our team.  We are a thriving school set on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW with around 350 students from Early Kindergarten-Year 10 and as of 2025, we are now offering the International Baccalaureate for Year 11 and Year 12 from 2026.

Key Criteria
* Confidence and flexibility to teach across Stages 1-5
* Outstanding rapport with students
* Collegiality and ability to work flexibly within a team
* Excellent classroom management skills
